What is MiSide Zero?

MiSide Zero is a fan-made prequel and reimagining inspired by the base MiSide story. Developed by Voidway (Kojo & Nick), it follows the blonde player known as "Zero" as he explores the MiSide universe about a year before the events of the base game.

Is MiSide Zero free to download?

Yes! MiSide Zero is completely free to download from the official itch.io page. The current release is an Alpha version for Windows.

Where can I download MiSide Zero?

The official and safest download source is Voidway's itch.io page. Avoid third-party mirrors and repacks to ensure you get a safe, unmodified version.

Is there a browser version of MiSide Zero?

Currently, there is no official browser/WebGL version of MiSide Zero. The available build is a Windows Alpha download only.

Minimum requirements for 1080p at lowest settings:

Gameplay Questions

What can I do in the Alpha?

The developers describe it as a peaceful-level experience in length (about 30 minutes), with at least one minigame, lots of dialogue, and a couple of dynamic interactions with Mita.

Which Mita is available first?

Kind Mita is intended to be available first, with other Mitas added later. The minimum target includes Kind, Cappie, Short Haired Mita, plus one additional Mita.

Will choices change endings?

Yes! Multiple endings are intended for the final game. Choices can impact dialogue, scenes, interactions, environments, and endings.

How many endings are planned?

Six endings are planned, with some having slight variations (similar outcomes, different cutscenes).

Can Zero be customized?

Outfits and skins are planned for the final game, unlocked through secrets, progress, and endings. Zero remains a standalone character with consistent personality/build.

Technical Issues

Windows SmartScreen is blocking the game. Is it safe?

This is normal for new indie releases that haven't been widely downloaded yet. If you downloaded from the official itch.io page, you can safely click "More info" and "Run anyway." Always verify the source before running any executable.

The game is crashing. What should I do?

Try these fixes:

  • Update your GPU drivers
  • Install Visual C++ Redistributables
  • Extract to a simple folder path (e.g., C:\Games\miside-zero\)
  • Disable Discord/Steam/NVIDIA overlays
  • Try windowed mode instead of fullscreen
  • Close heavy background apps

The game runs slowly on my PC. How can I improve performance?

Try these optimization tips:

  • Lower resolution to 900p or 720p
